Arts Symposium

From a woman’s soul.  Through a woman’s eyes.  By a woman’s hands.

WHAT:    A five-day hands-on arts symposium showcasing the industry’s top artists in over 30 different craft mediums.

WHEN:    September 28 – October 2, 2005

WHERE:    Historic 25th Street in Ogden, Utah

DETAILS:     A pioneer in crafting conventions, WomenCreate will offer workshops taught by many sought-after artists in over 30 different art and craft mediums. The conference will give women information, inspiration, and tools to use as they continue to express their hearts with their hands. In addition to the workshops, the week will be rounded out with such activities as the DesignHer Cocktail Party; the Where Women Create book-launch and signing; the Women Who Create Brunch; the all-day WomenCreate Art Festival; a Red Hat Tea sponsored by the Red Hat Society and hosted by the Queen Mother, Sue Ellen Cooper; and a variety of other entertainments, culminating in a Farewell Brunch on Sunday morning.

Sponsored by Chapelle, Ltd., Sterling Publishing, Inc., and Barnes & Noble, among others, the conference will bring together thousands of creative women to learn from renowned artists many who have authored books in their fields of expertise. WomenCreate presents a unique opportunity to expose a wide variety of creative women to products and crafts in mediums they may not currently use or be involved in. They will have opportunities to learn to knit a sweater in the morning, faux finish in the afternoon, and scrapbook late into the night.
